Well, it’s been a while…
Just an update to let you know of a wee festival which is taking place in Fenit over the weekend. We’ve helped up to organise a few events for the programme, details of which are promptly enclosed in this missive.
Wild Mind
Wild Mind is a festival of nature, a celebration of our natural environment and all things wild. Over the course of four days, the sleepy village of Fenit will come alive with a wide range of events and activities each of which aims to inform, inspire and immerse us into our natural environment.
Lisa O’Neill
Paying a visit to Kerry for an intimate gig as part of the WildMind festival is spellbinding Cavan folk singer and raconteuse Lisa O’Neill with support from Tralee’s own Teresa Galvin
who will be well known to chbb stalwarts.
8pm Saturday – Festival Yurt – €10
Natura Urbana
Natura Urbana tells the post-war history of Berlin through its plants, bringing us on a unique journey of the botanical microcosms of marginal spaces, all brimming with life.
4pm Saturday – Beach Cafe – Free
Tu-wit Tu-woo
Sound artist Natalia Beylis will be performing an immersive sound performance created from field recordings of wing flutters, peaking beaks, scratching feet & general bird cacophony mixed with recordings of bird song taken from cassettes & 7 inch records.
4pm Sunday – Festival Yurt – Free
Gerry Barry Exhibition
Gerry will launch this exhibition at 6.30 pm Friday and will give a talk on his process as well as the origins of both his own work and land-art in general.
