The overarching themes of this mural are – situatedness and self-possession. It’s a piece about being deeply immersed in your environment, your landscape, your work.., your situation… -and about the outward appearance of being ‘all-at-sea’ (quite literally in this case, ha), yet.., perhaps somewhat counter-intuitively, remaining simultaneously calm, composed and purposeful in the midst of less than conventional circumstances.
